Capturing Moments

About me...

Let me introduce myself:

Josef Schönlinner

I was born in 1963 and grew up in Seeon in Upper Bavaria in the south of Germany.

At the age of 15, I took my first steps in photography with a plate camera from my grandfather. A year later, I started 35mm photography with a SLR camera. With my friends, I ran a black and white darkroom. Since 2009 I work solely digital.

In 2018, I joined the photo club Wasserburg and feel right at home among my photography friends.

I am particularly fascinated by nature, abstract forms, urban spaces, people, animals and still lifes.

A few words about the equipment...
My workhorse is my Leica SL 601. With the SL, I particularly like working with fixed focal lengths and manual lenses.

For when I'm on the go, I love the small Panasonic Lumix GX9.
